Could this be the story of our children too?

How often do we spend quality time with our children? ‘Quality time’ is not just about the time that we spend with them discussing about their marks, performance and what they need to work on, but it also includes the time we spend with them to discuss about their fears and anxiety, in short to just hear them out! We could help them deal with the overwhelming pressure to succeed, by letting them know that we would be there for them irrespective of their achievements and marks! Our role is to help them achieve the optimal balance between being too relaxed and being too anxious. Let’s ensure that we don’t end up passing on our anxiety to them.
Here’s an emotional video that gives us an insight into what children might be going through ’silently’ due to pressure to perform, especially during exams. Let’s remember, children don’t always need advice; sometimes, all they need is a hand to hold, an ear to listen and a heart to understand them!
